The MicroMover DP1 features two integrated movement modules, each with a unique purpose and level of precision:
1.) The Main Rail: Designed for rapid movement and repositioning of the camera, this module boasts a speed advantage and an impressive accuracy of 0.04mm. With a generous travel range of 120mm, it allows photographers to swiftly move their camera to the approximate location for framing and composition.
2.) The Micrometer Module: This module is all about precision, offering an outstanding accuracy of 0.01mm. With a 25mm travel range, it provides ample room for the minute adjustments required for perfect focus stacking in macro photography. Once the camera has been positioned using the main rail, photographers can fine-tune their setup with the micrometer module to achieve the ideal focus stacking results.
The main rail is operated through a precision leadscrew, featuring an enlarged, anti-slip knob for easy adjustments. A foldable handle on the knob allows for quick and smooth movement. Underneath the main rail, you'll find an Arca-Swiss compatible quick-release plate structure, allowing for direct connection to most tripods. Additionally, a 1/4-inch screw hole is available for connecting to other types of tripod heads.
