AstrHori 18mm f/8 2X Macro for Canon EF (APS-C)
The AstrHori 18mm f/8 2X Macro lens (equivalent to about 28mm when converted to KB) has a special design that enables unique shooting perspectives that are not achievable with normal macro lenses. The lens is equipped with a 33.5cm long and 23mm thin probe that enables 'slide-in' shots in hard-to-reach places where conventional lenses do not have enough space. With a maximum magnification of 2:1 and a wide angle of 18mm, the lens has an angle of view of 80 degrees and a greater depth of field, which most closely corresponds to the perspective of insects.
The built-in 5 watt ring light on the front, with 9 LEDs and USB-C connection, makes it easy to illuminate close-up areas. A dimmable USB cable is included for power supply. For videographers, the module 0.8 gears are very useful as they allow precise adjustment of distance and aperture via cine focusing devices.
The first 25cm of the lens' front barrel is waterproof, so you can easily photograph and film directly under the water surface, in other liquids or in dusty environments. The front lens is protected by scratch-resistant sapphire glass.
Warning: It is important to note that no moisture should enter the USB socket.
Focus and aperture are adjusted manually. For transport and storage, the front barrel can be easily removed and stored in the included case.
