AOKA KG324C Carbon Tripod+BH40R Ball Head, Black
The AOKA KG324C carbon tripod has all the advantages of a universally usable all-round talent. It is an extremely practical tripod with an integrated monopod and comes with the robust BH40R ball head from AOKA.
The foldable legs of the KG324C result in a small pack size of just 50.5cm. The stable legs made of 10-layer carbon, the practical quick-release fasteners, three adjustable leg stop angles, non-slip rubber feet, an accessory hook and a cold-protection handle are impressive in practice. An ideal combination for all outdoor and macro fans who always want to have a stable and reliable tripod solution with them. If you use the short center column section supplied, you can get very close to the ground for impressive macro shots. To do this, the long center column is loosened and pulled out of the tripod. The space is then free for the short center section.
Additional accessories such as LED lights, a reflector holder or the smartphone holder can be attached directly to the KG324C using the two threaded holes on the tripod base, one 1/4 inch and one 3/8 inch.
The metal spikes included in the scope of delivery provide a firm footing for optimal stability of the AOKA KG324C even on icy surfaces. The screwable rubber feet are removed in just a few seconds and the spikes screwed on. Another professional feature is the connecting pieces of the individual leg segments in a one-piece design.
The robust all-metal ball head AOKA BH40R offers an adjustable friction brake as well as a panorama rotation with a scale. It also comes with a second panorama function directly in the quick coupling. Two spirit levels on the ball head are used to align the camera in portrait and landscape format. The quick release plate for ARCA-SWISS compatible systems has two pivoting pins for the stop of the camera housing to prevent the camera from tipping over on the plate during portrait format shots and panoramas - additional stability and safety for the camera.
The AOKA KG324C has a third spirit level on the heart of the tripod, exactly centered above a tripod leg (see illustration). This makes it possible to align the tripod exactly vertically with spirit levels even without the ball head. This is very important for panorama or architectural shots, for example.
This can be achieved in three simple steps:
1. When setting up the tripod, do not extend the tripod legs completely, but leave some play for any adjustment of the extension length.
2. Set up the tripod in a Y-shape in front of you. The leg with the spirit level attached at the top points backwards. Then adjust the extension length of both or one of the front tripod legs until the air bubble is in the center axis of the spirit level.
3. Extend or shorten the extension length of the rear tripod leg until the air bubble is exactly centered in the center circle of the spirit level.
