Using the standard M42x0.75 to M40x0.75 adapters available on the web, the extension is too long and the Cent extends beyond the sensor frame.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eIn the past, I was forced to use Nikon 63mm EL-Nikkor lenses for this purpose, but they are quite expensive, and because they have longer FL they can't achieve as high a magnification at full extension. Using the Tominon, I can get to around 3:1 magnification, so this is an ideal setup for folks wanting to photograph from 19mm FOV down to around 5mm FOV (vertical).\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eNote that it is possible to make a shorter camera adapter, but then the camera position (rotation) would be limited.
